VNA Northwest’s philosophy is that no patient should be denied basic medical care simply because of the inability to pay.  When you give to our agency your money goes directly to help deserving residents of Northwestern Connecticut.  Every penny is used to provide hospice and home health care as well as to support the agency that makes this possible.  Your donation to VNA Northwest will help your neighbors, friends and family to remain independent as long as possible and to live in the community with dignity.

Won’t you consider supporting one of Northwestern Connecticut’s finest causes?  Remember that the greatest measure of the quality of any community is how it treats those who are most in need.

VNA Northwest uses your donations in these ways:

• To support those who lack the resources (financial evaluation based on federal guidelines) or necessary insurance to obtain the hospice and home care they need.
• To offset government payments for health care that do not meet our costs.
• To purchase equipment and supplies that allow the agency to provide quality care.

There are many ways in which you can support our work:

• By making a donation.
• By purchasing a leaf or dove on our Legacy Tree to celebrate a special occasion or to honor or memorialize a loved one.
• By participating in our special events, such as the annual Garden Party and Golf Tournament.
• By purchasing products from Nodine's Smokehouse online or by phone
• Through planned giving, a process that allows you to benefit through tax advantages while supporting VNA Northwest.
• By remembering us in your will through a bequest.
• By shopping at or donating to our Thrift Shop.
