Supporting Our Cause

We think you will agree with VNA Northwest's philosophy that no patient should be denied basic medical care simply because that person is unable to pay. That is why we take all comers to the extent that funding is available. And that is why we need your support to continue our vital work. When you give to our agency your money goes directly to help deserving residents of Northwestern Connecticut. Every penny is used to provide home health care and to support the agency that makes this possible. Nothing goes to fundraising organizations. Your donation will help your neighbors, friends and family to remain independent as long as possible and to live in the community with dignity.

VNA Northwest uses your donations in these ways:

• To support those who lack the resources (financial evaluation based on federal guidelines) or necessary insurance to obtain the home care they so badly need,
• To offset government payments for health care that do not meet our costs,
• To purchase equipment and supplies that allow the agency to provide quality care.
  

There are many ways in which you can support our work:

• By purchasing a leaf on our Legacy Tree to celebrate a special occasion or to honor or memorialize a loved one. Please call us to request a brochure.
• By giving to our annual spring and fall fund drives.
• By participating in any of our special events, such as the annual Garden Party (July 19, 2008) and Golf Tournament (Sept. 22, 2008).
• Through planned giving, a process that allows you to benefit through tax advantages while supporting VNA Northwest,
• By remembering us in your will through a bequest.
