VNA Northwest provides instruction on proper care of both mothers and their children. Our service includes education on health and hygiene during pregnancy and in the postpartum period. We emphasize nutrition counseling, preparation for childbirth and family planning guidance. In caring for newborn children we stress accident prevention and all aspects of child growth and development. Support groups for mothers and occasional community programs are offered.
