Our Immunization Coordinator, a registered nurse trained in travel medicine, is available to meet with you in our Bantam office for pre-trip counseling. She'll administer any recommended vaccines and provide you with personalized travel information, based on your itinerary and specific health profile. Flu Shot Clinics -- Offered Each Fall by VNA Northwest

People often underestimate the danger of the flu. In addition to leaving a patient feeling miserable for several days, flu can be deadly. Every year as many as 40,000 people die from the flu and related complications. About four out of every five deaths from flu are people over the age of 65. VNA Northwest offers a round of flu shot clinics every fall throughout Northwestern Connecticut.

Flu and pnemonia shots will be offered by VNA Northwest at several clinics in local towns.  The cost for flu shots is $35 and pneumonia shots will be $45.  Medicare will cover the cost of these vaccinations, so participants are reminded to bring their Medicare cards to the clinics.  Please see this page in early October for dates and locations.  For more information, please contact VNA Northwest at (860) 567-6000.
