VNA Northwest needs a few good
people! We hope you will apply to become part of our prized volunteer
corps. Four types of volunteer work are performed:
- FISH (Friends in Service Here)
- Volunteers provide transportation to medical and other important
appointments at no cost in Washington and Warren. It provides
an important service as well as companionship to our clients.
- Thrift Shop - Our New
Preston Thrift Shop is an important source of income to VNA Northwest
which also provides an important shopping alternative to area
residents. Located on Route 202, the shop sells donated clothing
and selected household items. You can be a part of a very worthy
enterprise by volunteering your time at the shop. Saturday hours are available.
- Hospice - The satisfaction
you get from visiting patients in their home is simply priceless.
Volunteers often read to patients, write letters for them, run
errands, or just visit. Before entering service, volunteers receive
training and they work as part of an interdisciplinary team. You
will win the undying gratitude of those you serve as a Hospice volunteer.
